Background:
The world knows that 2,000 years ago a man named Jesus came from the town of Nazareth in what is now called Israel. He traveled about the region and gained a large number of followers. After a few years, the religious leaders in Jerusalem falsely accused him of crimes and handed him over to the Roman authorities. They executed him by nailing him to a cross. A short time later, his followers preached in the name of Jesus Christ.<br>
As Jesus preached, our Foundation was started on 22 nd January 1997 with the vision of social empowerment, creating, and living in peace with each other. The
United Community Development Foundation (U.C.D.F) is a governmentregistered Non-Government Organization (NGO). Our organization’s main vision is human empowerment in society. This will help to build self-esteem and social empowerment. Various programs are organized by our Foundation to fulfill this mission. By organizing all these, we hope to bring the peace of Jesus to the helpless and oppressed people in society. Also, giving hope to people who are without hope in society is a main objective in of our service.
Conducting religious programs
We can see that in the society we live in, some people belong to different religions, speak different languages and follow different faith systems. We can see conflicts between these groups at various times. Realizing this, U.C.D.F. aims to build harmony between religions and create hope & mutual understanding between every people. Various programs are organized by, U.C.D.F. to achieve it. By doing all these we hope to socialize the love of Jesus.
Development of housing and public facilities for low-income people
We can see many poor and helpless people in our society. Among them, many people do not have a suitable place to live. Among them, many people do not have clean air to breathe and clean water to drink. All we can see many people who are helpless and unable to fulfill their physical needs. Realizing this, U.C.D.F. has to work together with the government to fulfill its needs.
Accordingly,
• Building public facilities
• Educating people about hygiene practices
• Provide clean drinking water
• Helping to rebuild dilapidated houses
• Creating a suitable system for waste disposal

Uplifting the education of poor children
In today’s society, many children do not go to school. Hence, they cannot get a proper education. Parents can be seen sending such children to<br>
slavery at an early age. As a result, they have lost their childhood. Having identified the interest, we have launched a program called “Good Habits and Good Children”.
Through this program,
• Educating children about good intelligence
• Implementation of free education and knowledge programs
• Improving his artistic skills
